I tend to probe the questions beneath the question.

A question is rarely as simple as it first appears. What people experience, how programs work, and why outcomes differ are shaped by identity, relationships, behavior, communication, context, culture, and systems — often simultaneously.
That is why my work has crossed disciplinary boundaries. Interpersonal communication, organizational communication, and social psychology have been central to how I think, alongside perspectives from public health, sociology, management, and other fields. I conduct deep and rigorous inquiry to investigate what may be producing an outcome, test assumptions about why, and determine what the evidence actually supports.
I then translate that inquiry into forms appropriate to the engagement, stakeholders, and intended use — from facilitated learning experiences to written products and publications.

THE WORK STARTS WITH WHAT YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND.

Whether you’re investigating a question, evaluating a program, or trying to understand an unexpected outcome, IIP can help examine what is happening, what may be shaping it, and what the evidence suggests.
